ABOUT CASPER
CASPER, WY WAS SETTLED ON THE BANKS of the North Platte River in the late 1800's. As the point of convergence for all major westward trails - Oregon Trail, California Trail, Mormon Trail, Bridger Trail, Bozeman Trail, and Pony Express Trail - the community developed as a crossroads to the West and North West.
Casper is the second-largest city in Wyoming. There is a diversity of terrain to view, wildlife to see and attractions to enjoy. Casper is home to the largest mall in central Wyoming and a vigorous downtown with plentiful restaurants and a diverse blend of shopping.
Our city is located in the North Platte River Valley, with Casper Mountain rising 3,000 feet above the city, just minutes away.
